Here you can find all the work sheets you need to complete your 4 pieces of year 10 coursework. Obviously its better if you use your notes in your exercise books and you complete this in class with your teacher but seeing as that is not always possible i have uplaoded the key documents here for you.

Magazines 1 : Analyse two front covers and explain how they attract their target audiences.


Use the covers below and the keywords on the left hand side. You should write one paragraph for each key word.

REMEMBER: Always explain WHY that choice has been made. E.g The title of the magazine is Esquire BECAUSE... it means gentlemen and sounds like an olden style word that has nostalgic  connotations  etc etc etc.

Complete this with as much detail as you can. Ignore any questions you cant answer and bring it to me for help later. You must draw out (or create in photoshop) your finished idea for a front cover





Advertising Part 1:  Analysing an Existing Campaign. 

In this task you need to analyse 2 print adverts and a TV advert and explain how it appeals and attracts its target Audience. Its very similar to the Magazine task except you must put in more theory around representation of gender that we looked at in class.

Whichever one you choose try an analyse the techniques used to encourage people to buy the product

Advertising 2: Create your own campaign:

For this task you need to plan and sketch a campaign for a product of your choice (could be existing or invented). You must produce two final print advert designs and a storyboard for the TV advert.

The adverts all have to be for the same product and part of the same campaign so must look and feel similar.
